Friday, April 28th, the Center for eLearning quickly pulled together a last-minute 3D mini conference for FAU faculty. Microsoft brought in the HoloLens, Surface computers, and the Surface Studio. Chant Newall Development Groups specializes in developing virtual learning environments in combination with the Second Life platform to create an engaging experience. Both groups demonstrated their products to faculty to assist in the development of immersive educational learning activities.

The 3D dinosaur presentation using the HoloLens really drew the participants into the learning experience. This summer, the Center for eLearning is sponsoring a small project to integrate engineering simulations into the math curriculum.
