The Accounting major provides students with a solid educational foundation for entry into professional careers in accounting-related areas of business and government. The program prepares students to pursue advanced education in accounting and related fields.
Florida Atlantic University’s AACSB-accredited College of Business offers the 3rd and 4th year of upper-division (3/4000 numbered) business courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program as fully online for the Accounting major (OACG). The Accounting major is designed to begin with ACG 3131 (Intermediate Accounting Theory 1) and ACG3341 (Cost Accounting). Students desiring to register for ACG 3131 and ACG 3341 must first pass the School of Accounting Competency Exam.
HigherEd. QM is a nationally recognized, faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online course design and online components.
Some sections of this program’s courses have been reviewed and nationally recognized by Quality Matters as meeting the standards for best practices in online course design and delivery. If a course section has been certified, it will bear the Quality Matters seal.
