Amaraé Blyden-Richards, M.B.A.
Distance Learning Student Advocate

Pursuing an online degree requires just as much academic and student support as pursuing a traditional degree program. With a strong commitment to student success, Florida Atlantic University’s Center for eLearning has added a Distance Learning Student Advocate to the team, Amaraé Blyden-Richards, M.B.A. If you have issues with your instructor, problems navigating the online classroom, general questions about online learning, or need assistance during your distance learning program, we encourage you to contact your advocate at

Amaraé provides proactive support to FAU’s distance learners by coordinating resources for developing and administering distance learning programs.  Additionally, she is responsible for guiding, tracking and supporting student progress. Amaraé serves as your student advocate by communicating regularly with online program departments, providing student-centered recommendations about program structure and managing on-going eLearner expectations.

Amaraé has extensive experience with academic advising, student service management, recruitment, student orientation and transfer services. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of the Virgin Islands as well as a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
